We continue to expand our EV charging coverage as our solar and storage customers become more active in the sector. This includes monthly and quarterly reports on demand, OEM, network, and policy changes and a complete data platform on market participants.

We have released our Q1 2024 EV Charging Market Report with highlights below.

Q1 2024 Highlights:

  • Commercial charging ports increased 88% YoY in Q1 2024 driven by fleet charging projects needed to meet fleet electrification and corporate sustainability goals
  • Many fleet projects are creating a microgrid by pairing chargers with storage or solar to offset increased electrical demand from fleet electrification
  • Residential projects decreased by 2% YoY in Q1 2024 due to slowing EV sales
  • Charging options for multi-unit dwellings remain limited even as states create programs to encourage charger installations at these locations
  • State governments’ ability to regulate utilities, control federal funding, and pass new legislation creates a fragmented policy landscape with some states proactively encouraging EVSE while others doing relatively little
